Christmas Cantata Premiered

After attending the European-American Musical Alliance’s summer program at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, France, in the summer of 2012, a fellow classmate there commissioned me to write a Christmas cantata. The work was commissioned by conductor Slade Trammel and his Luminary United Methodist Church Choir, and is scored for full choir, solo violin, organ, and piano. The libretto comprises the birth narratives from the gospels of Matthew and Luke united together.

The work was first performed on Sunday, December 16th, in Ten Mile, Tennessee. It was conducted by Slade Trammell.
