Podcast Interview with Marty Zied!

Marty Zied is a six-time Emmy award-winning director from Philadelphia, PA. Later this year, he is releasing a new documentary called Voice Messages. This incisive film dives deep into one of the few things that all humans share in common—their voices—by interviewing famous singers, innovative artists, R&B groups, and the leading medical professionals in the field of vocal studies. By talking to artists like Linda Ronstadt and Grammy-winners Take 6, we come away with a deeper appreciation for just how big a role the voice plays in our lives every day, and why.

This summer, RapAnalysis.com Editor-in-Chief Martin Connor sat down with Marty at Penn State-Abington, where Marty currently teaches. They talked about Marty’s inspiration for the film; his favorite moments from making it; and why he felt compelled to do so.
